Had my R1200R in this morning for a set of new Dunlop Roadsmart tyres.
Prompt, efficient and courteous service. Completed while I waited (just round the corner at a great patisserie for coffee and cake).
Recommend these chaps thoroughly.
Diolch yn fawr!

It is so refreshing to deal with Steve and Tony who are not only technically knowledgeable but also honest and understanding. There aren't many BMW mechanics out there who will take the time to identify problems and actually tell me how I can fix them myself/suggest a sensible work-around for a commuter on a budget!
I will certainly return if the R1150R needs anything further in the future...

I've had some work done on my Kawasaki Ninja 650 a while back. A friend referred you guys to me and you did an excellent job. I wanted to thank you after stumbling upon here. And if you guys ever need GPS trackers, my friend owns a GPS company.
Anyway, thanks again.

Just a quickie to highlight the excellent customer service. I stopped by at Jap & German Motorcycles recently as my Kawasaki Versys was showing the high temperature light intermittently. I didn't have an appointment was dropped by on the off chance that they could look at it. I was attended to immediately, the system was pressure tested, the rad checked and topped up with coolant. No obvious fault or leak could be found and I'll be taking it back for a service and a more thorough check when I have more time. The cost? Nothing ! I was even given a small bottle of coolant to get me through the day should it need it. Fantastic. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks guys.

Steve and Tony are magicians. They have worked on my R850R and C1 for over a decade. Prompt efficient helpful and well priced. I would recommend them to any bike user. Top People

At 12:30 in the afternoon 2 guys on a scooter used considerable force to try and get me off my CRF250L. I fought them off but I was shaken by it if I'm honest with you.
I just wanted to make others aware of it...

I have had the guys work on my BMW R1200GSA and Honda CRF250L. I'm always happy with the advice and work. They will always have me as a customer... as they don't F*CK it up or make up jobs that were never done... unlike some dealers and other mechanics!

Thanks guys.

I want to thank all of you guys at Jap&German, I was a victim of a stolen helmet around the corner and the friendly team just gave me a free helmet to get me through the day! Awesome and bless you all!

Steve and Tony are great guys. Just serviced my bike with them. Totally honest, no B/S, excellent customer service. I'll give an example. Whilst in the shop I enquired about a GS. They said it was a customers who would be back to collect it. How long has it been here, i said, 2 years was the reply. They still spoke to the guy regularly who was living abroad. Brilliant. I won't take my bikes anywhere else. Mega

Steve and his brother made me very welcome when I popped in to have an ajustment on my boxer carbs before heading back to Cornwall. Nothing was too much trouble so I had few extra bits done. Their knowledge and experience is vast and prices reasonable for London. I would call it decent old fashioned service, no fancy showrooms to pay for, like the main dealership.
They are such nice blokes you don't mond parting with your hard earned pension in my case! I shall certainly be back.

I had an alternator fitted earlier this year and was very impressed with the service so when I needed a new drive belt I had no hesitation in coming back to Jap and German Motorcycles very good people to talk to nice attitude and a good job. Would recommend.

I dropped my bike last week, after which it wouldn't start.
The guys at J&G have been fantastic - it's now sorted and better than ever. They are friendly, knowledgeable, happy to talk about what they've done and very thorough. All in all I'd recommend them very strongly

Attn of Steve and Tony.

Dear Chaps,

Just a quick note to say Thank you for the attention and work you both did to my BMW. It is now running a treat and it is a credit all round and I enjoy using it. Thank you both very much.

Best wishes to you. Yours sincerely.

Vincent Roels

Guys - you fixed my red R1150RT on Friday (broken stick

coil). What a difference - the bike is running like a dream and

totally transformed . Thank you for fitting me in and fixing it

      so quickly. Regards. Tony

brilliant motor bike shop
the lads know more that BMW
my k100rs is back on the road
thanks to Steve and Tony
when know one else could help me
Paul

Hi guys, a big thank you for rectifying others mistakes and doing the full service. My k12 now runs like it first rolled off the factory line and the brakes are so good they stop the bike as quick as I've taken to think about it. I'll be using you again for sure.

Hi Steve its Dave from Deal had a good dry ride home ,bike went well ,stops on a sixpence ?? thanks for all your help .will recomend you and your shop ...Dave Deal...

My F800st refused to start. Steve at Jap and German arranged for the alternator windings to be renewed for £150+VAT rather than replace the
unit with the BMW part costing over £500. Also had a new battery, drive belt, annual service and new front tyre. Bike now running as new. Very nice people to deal with. Recommended.

Had my G650GS serviced....these guys are friendly, assist you with information you request, know what they are doing and it does not cost you an arm and a leg!

Hello guys,

I wanted to thank you for the work you've done on my bike.

It really runs smoothly now, it feels like a different bike.

Yann

Steve and Tony are without doubt the most competent - and nicest - people ever to look after my bike. I'm on the jap side of the 'andgerman' things and my 'Cat has never run as well as it has since they started looking after it - honestly, it's a new bike under their care. Huge thanks to them - and anyone reading this, get down to their London Bridge arches and do yourself (and your bike) a huge favour.

Many thanks Steve
Great prompt attention - see you again
Regards
Carlos

Great job on the bike, too. Runs as sweet as a nut now!
Thanks and see you again,
Toni

Hi,

Just a quick line of thanks to you and Tony, as the 'Cat is running better than ever - really pleased you tracked down what was wrong, it feels really different. Just as well it's cold and miserable or I could get myself into trouble!

All the best, Jim.

Hello from a very happy customer, covered 500 miles now and convinced! ... bit dubious at first about the C1,but everyone should experience the sheer fun of them. Thanks guys

An excellent customer service, and a very resourceful and also helpful approach, perfectly tailored for a beginner like me.

The guys done a great job on rectifying a difficult ABS problem I had. But it is the attention to detail that is second to none in pinpointing several minor problems that my 1150rt also had and fixing all to the original quote.

These guys care. Well recommended.

A huge thanks to you guys you really did go that extra mile. Ive been riding bikes for 40 years, all sorts of bikes and have delt with loads of dealers.. but I have got to say the blokes at 'Jap and German' are brilliant, reliable, quick, friendly and professional and they are nice blokes too. My poor old GS 1100 feels like a new bike, they even fixed a couple of things I didn't know about AND all this for a good price. Put a huge smile on a poor old bloke. Thanks Chaps Don

Good morning Steve BMW arrived safe and sound thank you. Very pleased with the bike, a pleasure to do business with hope to deal with you again in the future. Many thanks Craig

What nice guys i went to there workshop to book in my bike for some repairs, they asked me what the prob was then i just couldnt believe it they told me what the prob would be and how to test it, then said just undo two wires fit a new part £86 prob solved.I WONDER HOW MANY GARAGES WOULD KEEP HUSH DO IT THEMSELVES AND CHARGE ME £200+ well done long may you keep busy i will recomend 100%us

The clutch arm broke on my R850. The lads gave me a contact for recovery and replaced the broken arm on the day they got the bike.

Excellent service and kept me off the road for a minimal amount of time, greatly appreciated.

Steve and Tony are simply the best guys going.
They know how much my beemer means to me as i use the bike for my work. When ever i have a problem with it they sort it out
straght away. Can not thank them enough for all there help they have given me over the years.Cheers Guys keep the good work up.

F800s, replacement of heat exchanger, changed S to ST handle bars, Hyper pro progressive shocks, lower the bike by 40mm.

These guys are friendly, fast, reasonable, and they actually ride BMW bikes too! Battersea service is overpriced, and practically none of them own a BMW motorcycle...

Cool.

I went to these guys two years ago and had a service done, which was fantastic, i left the top box there because i had a problem with the lock, went back thee last week after 2 years and they still had it, bloody fantastic, forget Batterea, use these guy, got it booked in for a clutch replacement next week

What a difference it makes speaking to the person mending your bike. They sorted out my bike following low speed accident and provided me with a quote for undertaking all the work the following day. They also undertook essential repairs and had my bike back on the road 24 hrs later. I felt as if I am cheating them when the invoice came as I historically went to BMW Battersea. I will never make that mistake again.

They always service my R65 and were recommended to me by BMW. Really nice guys and very helpful too.

Iain

You were recommended to me by my friend John (a happy customer of yours) and at first, I went to you have my chain fixed, not only you didn't charge me but you also gave me advice on my bike. Straight away, I felt that I was dealing with a couple guys passionate about bikes. Afterwards, the service and kindness I received were amazing. Thanks a lot.

I used J&G a few years back, when I ran a very disappointing BMW650GS. The two chaps at J&G did impeccable jobs on that bike, when they were over at Kew. It's as if they knew the bike personally - a good thing, given that the bike was particularly unreliable.
Better still, the J&G men are straight down the line: they talk to you like human beings, sort of run with you, to get things sorted out. Nice doing business with articulate, professional mechanics who clearly have a love for bikes, rather than an estate agent main dealer type in a suit. This was a real comfort after dealing with damn arrogant BMW main dealers, very unhelpful, patronising, and prohibitively expensive.
And the J&G men advised me to get rid of the 650GS and get something a bit meatier. I've ran Honda VFRs ever since. I'm on my fourth now, thanks guys. Shame I live in western Japan, though, because living in SE England is worth it, just for J&G.

I had my BMW R850 serviced for the first time by Steve yesterday.
Bike was out of warranty and saw The J & G link from the BMW forum website (www.forum.bmw-club.org.uk) so figured out they must be o.k. Well, they were fine, very friendly and knowledgeable and left my bike in full confidence. Made a change to actually talk to the person who would be working on the bike and also to be advised on future works. All in all very satisfied, cheaper than BMW and thoroughly recommended.

Steve and Tony have always been extremely helpful and efficient. I believe they give a level of service that goes beyond the norm whenever they work on my bike. A good example is doing the little things that i never asked for such as loosening up my fuel taps, polishing my wheels, putting new fuel filters on. They are the combination efficiency, experience with older bikes and infinitely more cost effective than BMW dealerships.

''if I only had time and tools...'' I said that before but there is no substitute for professional service. Well I had my bike serviced before by professional garage but the bike never felt this good before. throtle, handling....it's like riding a new machine. Thank you. Highly recomended BMW specialist.

I was thinking of passing the bike on, but after riding it this morning I think I'm changing my mind. Thanks for the following :-on the spot first aid to the slack steering after I had just bought it; sorting out the front dampers; sorting out the water pump; being very patient with the time delay between removing the belly panels and tank for respraying and getting them back; sourcing the kit to put the belly pan back properly.
Many thanks

These guys did a top end rebuild and tappets plus mixture meter change for me. My bike was tapping away at traffic lights which was embarassing and tick over was very rough too. Vines BMW had just serviced it only weeks before !!!!!!
It now runs very quietly, ticks over real smoothly and is a much better ride overall.
My bike is a R1100R with only 26000 miles on it and it will go back to J+G for servicing or repairs and not to main dealers again. You cant beat a friendly and interested outfit plus its not far from a mainline (Waterloo) or tube station.

Well said Dennis. I had similar problems with Vines. Prestige, over in Bexley Heath, was even worse.

My R75/6 was as rough as old boots until J & G got hold of it. Now it is a joy to ride. Highly recommended.

Thanks for a great service – the bike feels great and I made it out in one piece with the new tyres. See you in 6,000 miles. Andrew McDonald R1100S

I have had my r1100s serviced here for the last two years. I had always used a BMW main dealer before. Never again. After J and Gs first service I rode off and thought I was on the wrong bike, everything was so much smoother. A thorough service properly done, they even set up the suspension correctly. Would I go back to the main dealer- certainly not.

Steve and Tony

A quick note to say a big thank-you for fine-tuning my machine yesterday (while I waited!). The tick-over when hot is now perfect. The bike is also slowing down again under engine compression when you throttle back, which makes it much easier to ride. The steering adjustment feels much tighter too, around the fast dual-carriageway roundabouts in Sussex.

I really enjoy riding my R65, and I couldn't keep it on the road without your help and support. How many years is it now?

Thanks!

You guys have serviced my RS100RS on several occasions and it always comes away feeling like a new bike (even though it looks like c*ap and has done over 80k).

Your attention to detail is brilliant and I really appreciate the efforts you make to fit me in at short notice and turn the work around really quickly.

I rely on my bike for my daily 100 mile commute and it's great to know your only 10 mins away from where I work in Southwark.
